Transitioning to Adulthood

As young people with hemophilia transition from high school to college age, they are challenged with becoming independent in their own self care. Many have learned how to infuse themselves independently, but few have been oriented to the realities of the enormous cost of managing hemophilia, making wise career choices, obtaining adequate insurance, and staying abreast of political forces that will decide the future of hemophilia treatment centers and coverage for care.

Hemo Blog Arizona is designed to bring the issues to the table – for consumers and advocates – and to make these complex issues more user friendly for people navigating the road ahead.
